Dr Gavin Gordon | Chiropractor & Exercise Physiologist Sydney

Dr Gavin Gordon is the chiropractor and exercise physiologist behind Gordon Chiropractic in Rose Bay. The double qualification is unusual. Most practitioners pick a lane. Gavin kept both because the two disciplines answer different halves of the same question: chiropractic asks what’s wrong with the way a joint is moving, and exercise physiology asks what your body needs so it stops happening again.

How he works

Gavin practises the Gonstead system, a method built on detailed case history and segment-by-segment spinal analysis rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. Patients tend to describe him as thorough. The first visit involves more assessment than many people expect, because adjusting the wrong segment well is still adjusting the wrong segment.

He’ll also tell you when chiropractic isn’t the answer. Some presentations need a GP, a scan or a specialist first, and some respond better to a structured exercise program than to any adjustment. Having both qualifications means the recommendation follows the problem, not the business model.

Exercise physiology background

As an accredited exercise physiologist, Gavin designs clinical exercise programs for rehabilitation, chronic condition management and injury prevention, including Medicare-referred and NDIS-funded programs for eligible patients. It’s the part of the practice that keeps improvements from washing out three months after the pain settles.

You’ll find him at 2/529 Old South Head Road, Rose Bay. Book online, or start with the Gonstead page if you want to understand the method before you come in.
